The Harmony Tote was created after a residency at Falling Water, the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright Home. The Harmony print reflects the repeating motifs on the exterior and interior of the iconic home. The lines represent the stairs, shelving, and the windows on the hatch cover. The semi-circle wraps itself around the fireplace, the bottom of the stairs, the bedside, and the hatch itself. These two motifs are the connectors between all parts of the house—bringing harmony to differing elements.
A little about the residency:
Fallingwater and Monmade have embarked on a yearlong partnership to connect regional producers with new markets and expand the Museum Store’s offering to better serve consumers driven by good design, craft, and regionally made products. Residency participants spent a weekend in April 2019 at High Meadow, the Residency housing and workshop at Fallingwater. Producers had the opportunity to immerse themselves in one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most iconic and inspirational architectural
accomplishments, along with the Kaufman’s extensive decorative arts collection and the beautiful property surrounding the house.
The design was screen printed in Pittsburgh with water-based ink on sturdy organic cotton duck fabric. We source our leather from a small company based in Queens, NY, not far from where we grew up.

Dimensions: 14” wide x 13.5” high x 4” gusset, straps are 10” high
