The Faith Jacket is named after the African American painter, writer, mixed media sculptor Faith Ringgold. Ringgold was raised in Harlem, NY, her parents were part of the Great Migration. She is best known for her story quilts which have political themes and reflected her upbringing during the Harlem Renaissance. Faith Ringgold is a talented woman who inspires us to tell stories through our jackets, much like she does with her quilts.
Faith jackets are made in whole or in part from vintage quilts. Every piece is unique, made for you to experience maximum comfort. These jackets are reversible and have gender neutral sizing with a silhouette inspired by trendy yet traditional asian street style. This oversized kimono style jacket has large pockets (for all important things like snacks, lip balm, a phone, and even a wallet). This jacket is not reversible
