We saw a show of Cuban painter, Carmen Herrera’s work at the Whitney Museum of Art in 2016 and haven’t stopped thinking about her work since. According to the renowned New York critic Karen Rosenberg, Carmen Herrera's style is defined by her “signature geometric abstractions." She presents "pared-down paintings of just two colors [that contain] seemingly infinite spatial complications."
The Carmen Dress can be worn casually, for work or for a night out. The dress is made of black and caramel colored raw silk (also known as silk noil), features color blocking, cap sleeves, and front pockets.
