The Circle Collection celebrates women's physical metamorphosis. The fit is generous, comfortable and modern. Each piece in the collection is named after a heroine of ours and made with organic and sustainable fibers.
The Michelle top features a cap sleeve that works for layering in the colder months and solo during the warmer months. It has bias tape finishing around the collar and around the curved hem.
The former first lady, Michelle Obama, worked as an advocate for poverty awareness, education, nutrition, physical activity and healthy eating. She is known for her strong physique and this cap sleeve top is inspired by her sculpted arms.
Waxflower Dye Works uses 100% natural dye extracts and raw dyestuff to create bold, prismatic prints & patterns on natural fibers. Bundle dyeing is a technique in which fresh and dried raw dyestuff (plants and insects) are applied directly to specially prepared fabric. The fabric and dyestuff is then rolled into a bundle, tightly wrapped with string, and steamed for several hours. When heated, the dyestuffs release pigments which bind to the fabric, creating a one-of-a-kind contact print.
All of our fabric is dyed with colors that come directly from the earth. We use a variety of fresh and dried dye plants (flowers, wood shavings, leaves, nuts, etc), as well as sustainably harvested Cochineal and Lac. We source locally whenever possible, both by foraging and supporting small growers.
Every piece is unique. This batch is bundle dyed with flowers.
