This is a listing for a jacket that will be made from a blanket or quilt that you will bring or ship to us. You will cover shipping to us in Pittsburgh, PA. You will be charged for return shipping when checking out.
Before purchasing, please email a well-lit picture of your blanket or quilt to rona@ottofinn.com and include measurements.
Size requirement: This is a general guideline. We understand that vintage blankets come in a myriad of sizes.
Short Length sleeveless 55" x 70"
Med Length with sleeves 66" x70"
Long Length with sleeves 62" x 82"
Extra Long Length with sleeves 74" x 80"
Fabric condition: Vintage blankets are great but please ensure that it is in usable condition and fabric is not torn, brittle or needs mending. The batting should not be exposed. Fraying at the sides is generally fine and a great sign that the blanket is ready for a new life. Please pre-wash the blanket before shipping it to us. If it needs minimal mending, please discuss possibilities with us or consider our former studio mate's mending service, Old Flame Mending.
Sizing: Please note that if you have previously purchased a jacket from us before, the pattern and sizing has been updated. Sizes are unisex. If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to email rona@ottofinn.com for assistance.
For example, if you normally wear a women’s S dress, you would wear the XS jacket for normal oversized fit. This is just a guide, there are lots of customers who are S and buy XL jackets! See size chart for measurements. It’s a matter of preference.
Please write the following in the notes as you check out: length, size, main side, ig handle if you'd like to be tagged. If you would like us to mail the scraps back, please include that as well.
If you have a preference as to which side you’d like to be the “main” side (with the pockets), please let us know in the notes. Otherwise, we will choose a side for you.

It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 weeks to make a BYO. We cannot take on any BYO during the months of November and December.
